Company and Management

Hybridge Internet is a new company and a sole proprietorship registered with the Nova Scotia Registry of Joint Stock Companies. It was founded with the purpose of providing modern high speed internet to underserved households, especially in the rural Annapolis Valley.

Chris Carruthers is the owner of Hybridge Internet and responsible for planning, implementation and day-to-day management of the company. With deep roots in Nova Scotia, Chris recognizes that modern high speed internet is critical to Nova Scotia and is determined to play a role in providing this service to underserved Nova Scotians. Chris has over 25 years’ experience in information technology (IT) and as an entrepreneur.

Steve Carruthers is the primary technical advisor for the company. An engineer by training, Steve has acquired experience with human resources management and budget management and deep knowledge of IT in general, and digital signal processing and radio technology in particular during a long career as an officer in the Canadian Armed Forces. More recently, he has established and built a successful wireless internet service provider business in the Ottawa area. In all, Steve has over 30 years’ experience as a senior manager and an entrepreneur.
